HNS Defence Minister Aairut Nimei Announces Fendiralia Evacuation Plan

Fäl Air Force Base, Omattäs: Minister of Defence Aairut Nimei has announced a plan to evacuate Hubdovan citizens out of the danger zone of the Fleet-Fendiralia conflict. This move comes after many hours of debate between key officials in Arcadia yesterday after the condemnation of the war. It finally came down to whether the evacuation plan would be considered an act of war by the Fleetian government. The final decision was reached on the basis of that its the Hubdovan Armed Force's job to defend all Hubdovan citizens, no matter if they are living within Hubdova or abroad. Defence Minister Nimei departed for the Fäl Air Force base in Omattäs last night to begin arranging transport planes and escorts for departure later today. Hubdovan citizens in the danger zone of the Fendiralia conflict have been notified of the mission and have been told to, only if it is safe, move to these airfields to be picked up and transported away from Fendiralia and to either Hubdova itself or to allied countries in the TEAC economic group because of the VISA-free travel. The evacuation planes will stay in these airfields for approximately four days. In the case of an emergency withdrawal of troops from an airfield due to advancements of Fleetian troops, Hubdovans travelling to that airfield will be notified to go to a different airfield nearby or to a specific pickup point. All Hubdovan aircraft have been painted with a large Hubdovan flag and have the acronym “HAF” (Hubdovan Armed Forces) on them to differentiate them from Fleetian or Fendiralian planes.

We have decided that, due to the large number of expatriates living in the conflict zone of the Fleet-Fendiralia war, it is necessary to begin an operation to retrieve our citizens out of harm's way. This does NOT mean we are going to war with either Fendiralia or Fleet. We will NOT be engaging Fleetian or Fendiralian troops. This said… (he pauses) …if we are fired upon at all, we will not hesitate to return fire. Let this serve as a warning. We are not there for a war. We are there to protect our citizens from the crossfire. I expect you would do the same for your citizens. I would like to wish all the brave Hubdovan troops going to the warzone to protect their fellow citizens, and to the citizens themselves, for living through the horror that is war. We are coming for you, let you not worry. Thank you.” - a statement made by Prime Minister Heikkinen this morning to calm the rumours that have been going around saying that we were going to war.

Starshot Station Central Core Placed into Orbit

New Britannia, The Fleet of Oceans: After long preparations and tests, the central core module of the new Hubdovan space station, called Starshot Station, has been placed into orbit successfully by a Fleetian “Bulk Hauler”. Cheering and applause erupted in both New Britannia and at the Terrague Space Launch Centre on Terrague Island in the Hubdovan Archipelago Territories (the headquarters of the Hubdovan Space Agency) after automatic signals from the station were received. This station serves as a new space station that is available to all nations across Telrova as a symbol of international scientific and diplomatic cooperation between all, not just between nations in their own alliances. The Hubdovan Space Agency plans to launch additional modules to the station to make it actually habitable. All this has occurred under the shadow of the Fleetian war with Fendiralia, but all went as planned with as little tension and obstacles as possible.
