Konipylväs, Rizidian: A massive explosion rocked the small town of Konipylväs in northeastern Rizidian this morning. At about 10:15, plumes of smoke rose into the sky sprinkled with colourful fireworks when a fire was ignited somewhere near the centre of the facility. It is unknown how the fire started, but, according to local residents of the town, a group of juveniles hang out near the storage facility, so that may have been the cause of the fire. A total of seven buildings around the storage facility suffered damage from either the fire or the vibrations caused during the explosion. The HMI (Hubdovan Ministry of Investigations) is looking into the incident.
In an interview, Jonne Hiltunen, a local elderly resident of Konipylväs speaks with HNS reporter Arhippa Lahti in her home.
…I was just sitting at the kitchen table, eating my morning bowl of cereal and drinking my cup of coffee when I hear a thunderous boom and felt the house around me shake violently. Multiple family heirlooms fell off shelves and walls all over the house. Once the shaking stopped, I looked out my front window and saw smoke rising over the neighbour’s houses across the street. I saw bits of the melted firework casings falling from the sky and making a mess over my front lawn and driveway…
