Ipoiphis, Aväthäe, Hubdova: This morning at approximately eight in the morning, Hubdovan Airways flight #862 hit a flock of Eastern Olic Puffins, knocking out one engine and forcing the plane to make an emergency landing at Ipoiphis International Airport (IPIA). The flight was going from Nauxbus Domestic Airport (NXDA) north to R.U. City International Airport (RUCIA)(Regnum Unitum). Upon landing, the aircraft hit a patch of black ice, from the previous 3 nights of the winter snow melting during the day and then freezing at night, and careened off the runway, through the grass, and into the luggage terminal, killing three workers.

In all, eleven people were killed, including the co-pilot and the three aforementioned luggage terminal workers. The seven other deaths were all passengers on the aircraft. The plane is almost completely destroyed, being ravaged by flames soon after its collision with the terminal. It tore up chunks of runways #8 & #9 and dug trenches in the turf between the runways. As for the luggage terminal, the fires spread from the wrecked plane to the rest of the building, causing widespread damage. After everyone was rescued from the plane, airport security deemed the terminal too dangerous to reside in because of the lack of structural integrity caused by the collision and blocked access to the area. The plane was pulled out of the building and torn apart on the tarmac and loaded onto trucks to be taken to the scrapyard and the black box was taken to the HAA (Hubdovan Aviation Authority) for analysis. Director of the Ipoiphis International Airport: Farhaan Oneill announced that the luggage terminal will be demolished and will be rebuilt.

In a special HNS interview, Awais Foster: the ATC (air traffic controller) at the time of the crash) stated this about the crash experience:

...After I saw flight #862 land, I looked down at my Airport Surveillance Radar, to give orders to the next planes on where they would land, and stuff like that, when I heard a ground-shaking boom. I looked up and saw the plane, half sticking out of the luggage terminal, which is right at the base of the ATC tower by the way, and I thought to myself ‘oh my god, I’m so fired’ which I then felt so guilty for thinking since there were surely casualties in this. I then immediately radioed over to the descending planes to land at the closest compatible airports and then to the emergency ground crew that there was a wreck and where it was…”
