HNS Winter Superstorm “Tärkeä” Moves Through Hubdova

Hubdovan Meteorology and Volcanism Organization, La Ardu, Hubdovan Archipelago Territories: The once-in-a-decade winter superstorm, named “Tärkeä” by the HMVO, moved through Hubdova these past few days, causing blizzard-like conditions all across portions of west-central Hubdova. Thanks to blizzard measures as a result of a similar storm in 2009 to combat similar storms in the future, only minor damages were achieved. Even though these measures were in place, there was still widespread ice on roads that took advantage of unsuspecting drivers. A total of thirty-nine causalities were a result of these icy roadways, including our own Minister for the Environment: Olavi Mäkinen.

He was killed this morning when his personal vehicle skidded off the roadway, rolled down a brush-covered hill, and onto another road below. He died on the scene. It was said that he was traveling out to the most hard-hit areas from the storm to survey the damages. He is known in the community to be the most compassionate, loving, and friendly person anyone could ever know. He was running for reelection in this upcoming election for the Minister for the Environment going up against Saara Laine, she has sent her condolences to the family of Olavi. The position is to remain empty until the election in May, and PM Otso Erkkila will fulfill the duties of his position along with his own until then.

The Hubdovan Ministry of Defence announces a ~⳩100 million investment into the brand new Hubdovan Laser Development Program, in partnership with AusValia after some of their military leaders traveled out to Vitality Station, the military base in which the focuses of the meeting were held at. The Hubdovan Government as a whole has expressed enthusiasm for the development of a strong military alliance between the two nations. A spokesman from the Ministry of Defence stated the following: “We have finally proved ourselves to be a worthy military power to attract the attention of other major nations across the globe. This shall benefit Hubdova and other nations across Telrova greatly.”
